This wild, wacky & swingin' evening will kick off with a beginning swing lesson at 8:00 pm. At 9:00 pm, one of the area's best (and definitely the most entertaining!) swing bands will take the stage for your dancing pleasure. Those of you who've seen Peaches O'Dell perform know the fun that always ensues; if this is your first time w/ her, you're in for a treat!!...Grab your dancing shoes, pick up your sweetie and/or round up your friends, and come dance the night away!

Step back in time as we honor the 64th anniversary of VJ Day. This dance is always a ton of fun, as well as a great chance to honor/thank those veterans who brought us swing in the first place!!! (See pics from previous years here.)
The doors will open at 5:00 pm. BBQ Dinner (optional) available from 5:00 - 7:00 pm. Dance lesson from 7:00 - 8:00 pm. Dancing from 8:00 pm - 11:00 pm. Military uniforms/vintage attire encouraged. Swing dance contest & best WWII Vintage outfit contests, as well as raffles -- win great prizes!!
This dance is a fund-raising event for the National Capitol Squadron of the Commemorative Air Force (CAF), a charitable organization dedicated to honoring our men & women of the armed forces by maintaining historic military aircrafe in flying condition.

Night Swing Dances at Glen Echo Park

On selected Saturday nights, we sponsor swing dances at the beautiful Spanish Ballroom at Glen Echo Park. These dances feature the area's best bands and the most fun you'll have dancing anywhere!! No partner or experience required. Dress is casual.
- Lesson:
8:00 - 9:00 pm
Dancing: 9:00 - Midnight
$13-15/person (depending on the band) or volunteer for an hour in exchange for free admission. To volunteer,send us an email.
